STRESS!

It's all around us everyday. STRESS. It comes in many forms and fashions for each of us - whether it's Mother Nature and what she throws at us, or if it's the job market, housing market, stock market, juggling career and kids and family, caring for elderly parents. We all have something. It's that simple.

So, my question this month is - how does scrapbooking help alleviate your stress?

For me, it's a time when there is nothing going on in my mind, except the layout or card in front of me. It's relaxing for me. I thoroughly enjoy what I am doing and allow myself to get caught up in the moment. I don't allow myself to get stressed out about scrapbooking - why should I? If I run out of my tape runner, then at least I can put all the pieces of a layout or two together and pick up a refill tomorrow.

Tell me how you do it? Post by October 15th and one lucky 'poster' will win something from the store. And don't forget to click over to www.rwctc.com and check out what's happening and maybe you'll find a product or two that you can't live without!

Having a stressful job is bad enough. Yet when one brings that job home and ultimately can stress your family. That is hard on everyone involved. Lately, being a newbie scrapper, I have found that when I immerse myself in the creativity aspect my mind settles, and then when it comes alive on paper the joy if brings feels so good. I forget about the stresses of the day and truly enjoy the remainder of the day. I am really becoming HOOKED on SCRAPPING!!!!

When I am stressed I go to my scrap area. Even if I don't finish a layout or card I just go through my supplies. I have been scrapping for almost 3 years now and it has been the best 3 years of my life.

simply sitting in front of my table, in front of my beautiful papers and {fragrant} adhesives make me forget about the stress of work and the stress of thinking about the mountain high of clothes i have to wash and fold. scrapping becomes my solace whenever i want to take a break from the routine that i call everyday. and you cannot measure the WOW feeling whenever you finish a layout/card. now, that's what scrapping is for me. :)

I love scrapbooking because it's an escape for me. My room is in the basement of uor home, away from all the dishes in the sink, the pile of laundry and anything else that may NEED to be done. I am able to just sit and relax and enjoy my time down there - stress free :)
